We sail a menagerie dinghy fleet comprising Lasers, Mirrors, Enterprises, Wayfarers, Toppers and more. The emphasis being on family sailing and enjoyment rather than cut-throat competition.








2nd November 2014 - Gallon Race, Bonfire & Supper!

As usual our last formal event of the Sailing Season will be the “GALLON RACE” on Sunday 2nd November. We hope to see all the club boats on the water so please come along if you can.

Adult 6 including Pie & peas, child 2 including hot dog! Vegetarian option if requested.

There will be a raffle to help boost club funds, so please bring your wallet, any donations for prizes much appreciated!

Bank Holiday Sailing 25th August 2014

Weather permitting, sailing will take place on Bank Holiday Monday from 12 noon. This will be a good opportunity for new and prospective members to meet our regular members and get on the water. Simple races will be organised and boats made available.The barrier will be manned for access to the club from 11am till 12 noon. If you require access at a different time please let us know. Tea and coffee are available in the clubhouse and our barbecue is also available for use.

Working Party August 9th 2014

10 am start please. This time top of the priority list is sorting out the clubhouse and outbuildings. If you have ANY equipment or possessions stored please ensure they are either clearly marked with your name or removed before the 9th. We will be reorganising so afterwards your gear may not be where you last dumped it!

Please bring gloves and wear suitable clothes. There will also be the usual painting, gardening and repairing to do.

A gentle reminder that all club members are expected to attend at least one working party each year. Enthusiasm is optional, but greatly appreciated.

Try Sailing Event 27th July 2014

WSC will be hosting a try sailing for free event. The chance for novice sailors or prospective members to visit the club, get out on the water and see what we are all about.

For safety reasons numbers will be limited, and all visits must be by arrangement only.

Signing-Up Evening 29th May 2014

Thursday 29th.MAY 2014 at WELBECK SOCIAL CLUB from 7-30pm

Members are invited or indeed requested to attend the above social event, when it is hoped that the majority of subscriptions can be collected in -on the night. Snacks will be provided

At this meeting we shall also be looking for volunteers to ensure the Weds and Sat sailing sessions are able to go ahead.

Welbeck Village Open Weekend 14-15th June

Notice that the club will be holding it AGM on Sunday April 27th. Sailing will start after the meeting .

2014 New Season

A new season begins soon.

Boats and buoys out - Sat 22nd March 10am start. Many hands make light work. A reminder that all club members are expected to participate, enthusiasm is optional. There are many jobs to do around the club so it would be most helpful to bring gloves, spades, pliers and any cordless power tools.

First Sail – Sunday 30th March.- Hooray! A reminder that John needs to see a copy of your boat insurance BEFORE you will be permitted to sail. Please e-mail copies to him (wsc.sec@btinternet.com) or to this site now. Lets not leave it until the last minute please!

1st February 2014 - Annual Presentation Dinner

April 2014 - RYA training

We will be running RYA dinghy sailing courses levels 1 (start sailing) and 2 (basic skills) in April next year. Please see our RYA page for more details. Unfortunately it's that time of year again.

Boats away - Sat 16th November - 10am start. All dinghies should be in club storage or removed please. Good idea to bring pens and tape to label items. The more members that attend the better - all help would be greatly appreciated.
